A WTF statement


The above photo is from a New Mexico church that’s apparently repurposing the popular three-laetter abbreviation on purpose to promote a college ministry.

It’s obviously accomplished its goal of attracting attention, but I still think that doing something like this is A. Tacky and B. An open invitation for ridicule from people who assume you did it by accident.

If not for the article on Church Marketing Sucks, I would have assumed just that myself – that the person or team responsible either didn’t know WTF with a question mark stood for something or didn’t notice it spelled WTF.
