I discovered this little gem today on a site I found via a retweet on Twitter – CampLeadership.org.
I like this guy’s delivery and can certainly identify with his frustration. As a volunteer director of a camp for a decade, I would frequently and intentionally over-communicate with volunteers about schedules, activities, expectations, etc. only to still hear repeated complaints of “nobody told me what’s going on” throughout the week.
Things like blogs, Twitter, Facebook and e-mail have only added to the stack of ways we can over-communicate. But one thing they all have in common: they can all very easily be ignored, just like the flier on the floormat.
